Islands in the Sun, a major leisure travel and tour operator to Tahiti, Fiji, and other South Pacific islands - headquartered in El Segundo - seeks articulate, motivated South Bay residents for positions in our reservations department.

A broad knowledge of world geography, especially relating to the South Pacific, is required. Travel industry experience is advantageous, but not mandatory.

Comprehensive training is provided. This is the entry level position to the travel industry, ideal for the late life career change or for those seeking a job close to home.

Successful applicants will have the ability to learn quickly and process work efficiently in a fast-paced call center environment. A pleasant phone voice with the ability to sell and recommend products is the most important for success. Basic MS computer and keyboard/typing skills required.

Compensation includes a base salary, incentive bonuses, full medical and dental HMO. Travel benefits after one year of service with opportunity for advancement.
